Launched under the brand name “Above The Belt” in 1978 the company soon evolved to Zumiez (Zoom-eez) and expanded to other active sports such as motor cross, BMX and snowboarding.
This expansion continued to an online store and other casual clothing items for those that lean more towards an active and outdoor lifestyle that might not be as intense as extreme sports. This range offers products to men, women and boys with additional product ranges for skate and snow. Physical store presence also grew to the now 600+ locations concentrated around the US and Canada.
